Netflix has released the full trailer and announced a December premiere date for ‘Dragon Age: Absolution‘, an animated series based on Bioware’s hugely popular game franchise.
‘Dragon Age: Absolution’ explores mature subjects concerning freedom, power, and corruption set against the backdrop of adult animation.

Kimberly Brooks (‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe’, ‘DC Super Hero Girls’) voices Miriam, a pragmatic elven mercenary who escaped enslavement in Tevinter. Joining her are Matthew Mercer (‘Critical Role’, ‘Ultraman’) as Fairbanks, A veteran freedom fighter who leads our heroes with a warm-hearted sense of adventure, a pair of daggers, and a dashing smile to boot; Ashly Burch (‘Mythic Quest’) as Qwydion, a bubbly Qunari mage with a penchant for explosions; Sumalee Montano (‘The Lost Symbol’) as Hira, an idealistic mage who hopes to rekindle her relationship with Miriam while advancing her relentless crusade against Tevinter; Phil LaMarr (‘Futurama’) as Roland, who, despite his effortless demeanour, the charming Roland possesses unmatched grit; Keston John (‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, ‘Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous’) as Lacklon, a dwarven Lord of Fortune, gruff fighter, a born brawler… and a complete glory hound; Josh Keaton (‘Arcane’, ‘What If…?’) as Rezaren, who was born to privilege and plagued by tragedy, but sees himself as a good man in a wicked world; And Zehra Fazal (‘Young Justice’, ‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power’) as Tassia. Dutiful and hardworking, Tassia turns a blind eye to everything that doesn’t meet her moral standards, but even she won’t be able to ignore the sins of Tevinter (or Rezaren) forever…
‘Dragon Age: Absolution’ is created by Mairghread Scott, writer of ‘Justice League Dark: Apokolips War’. who serves as showrunner and EP. Chris Bain, Matthew Goldman, and John Epler also exec produce.
The series is set in the world of BioWare’s award-winning video game franchise and built in close collaboration with BioWare’s creative team – including head writers, and lead creative directors. Writers include Mae Catt and Tim Sheridan, with Scott. Ki Yong Bae directing. Red Dog Culture House produce the animated series.
