‘Criminal Minds: Evolution‘ will be back for another season as ABC Signature and CBS Studios announce the popular crime drama will return for Season 3.
Ahead of the Season 2 (or Season 17, depending on how you’re counting) launch this month, it has been announced that an additional season of ‘Criminal Minds: Evolution’ will go into production later this year. The upcoming second season follows in the wake of last season’s shocking finale, picking up as the FBI’s elite team of profilers investigates the deadly mystery of GOLD STAR. As the conspiracy unfolds, the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) is met with an unexpected complication when serial killer Elias Voit negotiates a deal that transfers him to federal custody in the BAU’s own backyard. The team faces its biggest threat yet and cannot emerge unscathed from the mind-bending consequences.
This season stars Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Zach Gilford, and Ryan-James Hatanaka, with Adam Rodriguez and Paget Brewster. Guest stars include Clark Gregg, Felicity Huffman, Liana Liberato, Paul F. Tompkins, Tuc Watkins and Brian White.
Where you can watch ‘Criminal Minds: Evolution’ is a little confusing for UK audiences, as most of the promotions you see online say it is on Paramount+… But in the UK it isn’t, it’s on Disney+. That is due to it being a co-production between Disney’s ABC Signature and Paramount’s CBS Studios. So Paramount+ has the rights in the USA, whilst Disney+ has the rights in the UK. However, to add to the confusion, the original ‘Criminal Minds’, IS on Paramount+ in the UK, whilst Disney+ UK has the newer ‘Criminal Minds: Evolution’ and the original ‘Criminal Minds’… although they list the “Evolution” seasons just as ‘Criminal Minds’ Season 16, 17 etc… rather than Seasons 1 & 2… I hope that is clear!
