‘The Rookie’ Season 6 Finally Gets A June UK Premiere Date On Sky Witness & NOW

Better late than never...

After a bit of a wait,The Rookie is finally back on patrol for its 6th Season in the UK, as streaming service NOW and Sky Witness reveal a June premiere date for the cop drama.

‘The Rookie’ stars Nathan Fillion as John Nolan, the oldest rookie in the LAPD, who has used his life experience, determination and sense of humour to keep up with rookies 20 years his junior. Nolan now faces his biggest challenge as a police officer when he must come to terms with the choices he has made in pursuit of the truth.

As we return for Season 6, in the aftermath of the assaults in the explosive season five finale, the team must now try to understand why they were targeted and if there is a bigger plan in place. Meanwhile, Nolan must survive his last shift before his wedding to Bailey.

Alongside Fillion, ‘The Rookie’ stars Mekia Cox as Nyla Harper, Eric Winter as Tim Bradford, Alyssa Diaz as Angela, Richard T. Jones as Sergeant Wade Grey, Melissa O’Neil as Lucy Chen, Tru Valentino as Aaron Thorsen, Jenna Dewan as Bailey Nune, Lisseth Chavez as Celina Juarez, and Shawn Ashmore as Wesley Evers.

‘The Rookie’ is produced by Lionsgate Television, which is the lead studio and international distributor (that is why the show airs on Sky Witness and not Disney+ in the UK). Disney’s ABC Signature are co-producers. Sky did originally announce this season for April this year, then changed their minds at the last minute, so we’ve been waiting for it to pop up again. Part of the scheduling change, I suspect, is because this is a shortened season of 10 episodes due to the actor/writer strikes.

The Rookie‘ Season 6 premieres Thursday, 27th June 2024 at 9pm on Sky Witness and streaming service NOW in the UK.
