by Dave Elliott

We are back with episode 427 of the Geektown Radio podcast, and this will be the last episode until the end of July as Dave heads off for his Summer break. Before that, we have a packed show alongside Matt from Entertainment Talk who returns to chat TV, film, and video game news & reviews!

It’s been a while since Matt has been on the show, so he has finished a few series since he’s been off. The first is season two of Apple TV+’s ‘Big Door Prize’, and the other is Disney+’s brilliant docuseries ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ (yes… Matt actually gets Dave talking about football!) They also talk about the latest season of ‘9-1-1’, and the possible fate of ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’. Meanwhile, Dave has a review of Steven Knight’s drama ‘The Veil’ which is on Disney+, and they both discuss the latest season of ‘The Boys’ on Prime Video and the penultimate episode of ‘Doctor Who’. Over on the gaming front, Dave has been working his way through various demos as part of Steam’s “Next Fest” including ‘Hollywood Animal’, ‘Republic Of Pirates’, and ‘Endzone 2’.

Moving on to the news updates, we update you with all the latest cancellations and renewals, which sees another ‘‘Power’ series bite the dust, ‘Brassic’ back on Sky, and there will be more Dragons… In the news, we discuss a John Grisham novel coming to the small screen, the expansion of Anne Rice’s “Immortal Universe”, and some high-profile casting for both Apple’s ‘Hijack’ and Paramount’s ‘Star Trek: Starfleet Academy’, plus lots more! It is another packed show! Listen below!
